PHP
I think I should learn PHP. I don’t really want to, but I think I should. So many hosting providers provide PHP, but how many provide J2EE support? And for a good price? Plus, what if I wanted to get away from the software engineering side of things and become more of a web developer? You gotta know PHP, it seems.
I just know it won’t be nearly as nice as Java. Is there any support for a nice clean Model-View-Controller (MVC) design? I imagine it being like JSPs in the old days, but without even getting to use Java beans! I hope I’m wrong. I’ll probably even start having fun once I get over the initial hurdle of actually setting up an environment to run it locally on my own machine.
