Favicon
Yay! Now I have a pretty favicon (the little flower icon that shows up next to my address (to see it in IE, you either have to bookmark the site, or sometimes dragging the icon a half-inch or so within the address bar will work).
To create, I used Windows Paint, saved as a GIF, then used this icon generator. Then I put the ico file on my webserver and added this line to the top of my HTML:
<link rel=”shortcut icon” type=”image/x-icon” href=”/favicon.ico” />

Hey, still no other posters? Don’t worry, “If you build it, they will come…” Thanks for the link to the icon generator, that’s a cool one, I use Irfanview to change a gif to .ico format. In case any beginners drop in, you have to make a favicon at 16 by 16px or 32 by 32, I believe. And be prepared for weird stuff to happen to them if you start modifying them once they’re on your server. PS: Your comment on Whitespace re: images was thoughtful.

Hi Hasan, it would only be fair if all I got was lurkers, since that’s what I do so often myself.
But anyway, I’m not too concerned - it’s great to get comments and get conversations going, but I’m not out to win a popularity contest or anything.
It’s funny, though, I happened to randomly run across this blog entry entitled “If you build it, they will come.” If I make this into an interesting site, then I guess I’ll get readers, and if not, well, I’m sure my family will visit once in a while.

Hey, thanks for continuing to visit my site, hugs!
You keep posting your email, did you read my “about comments” blurb? I keep erasing your address ‘cause I didn’t see it on this site anywhere. Happy first day of Spring!
