Interesting search phrases

It looks like some people who find my page are searching specifically for me, or for someone a lot like me:

  • jennifer grucza
  • grucza
  • jennifer web grucza [is that like a nickname or something? Jennifer “Web” Grucza?]
  • jennifer blog classical music java jsp
  • search the web! viola blog i play viola or my viola [I love that “search the web!”]

Others are searching for subjects that I’ve talked about:

  • shopaholic defined
  • intellij cut-and-paste doesn t work
  • intellij idea key generator
  • favicon.ico spec

And some find me through a mix of words I’ve used in different posts:

  • guilty pleasure reading
  • edamame britney spears [my favorite - one wonders what they were really looking for]

I have the same phenomenon for my site. Someone performs a search on some of the most obscure phrases or keywords from my posts. Some of my favorites include:

    - putting spark into an old marriage that went stale

    - useful shadows

    - accessability of binge drinking

    - termites and communications

    - book of shadows for pda

I think we have a common visitor, and I think he/she is also a frequent reader of a certain “rules” site we hve in common.

Yours are much better than mine, but you have a head start. :) I really like “accessability of binge drinking” and “termites and communications”!

At least you guys don’t get reffered from a Google page with the entry “Most Wanted Terrorist, Hassan Iz-Aldin” on it. No wonder I use “Hass like the avacado” more often than not, geesh!

I just got a referral to my site from a search for the Niagara Heritage Study site I did - I never keyworded or optimized the site, because nobody cared or wanted to pay me any more, but as a result, arkitrave comes up before the actual project site…

At least they found what they were looking for, if in a very roundabout way.

  5. Jennifer Grucza Says:

I’m afraid I don’t quite get the connection between “Hass” and avacado, Hasan. I know my education on avacados is sorely lacking - could you fill me in? :)

Is Hassan or Hasan a common name?

  6. Hasan Says:

    Sorry, i misspelled, it’s av o cado…

My father was Turkish, my mom’s French-Canadian, I’m a Damn Yankee. Hasan is a common Arabaic name,
a Google search yields results of “921,000 for hasan”, and that’s not the common Arabic spelling of Hassan (”1,390,000 for hassan)… My name is pronounced with the accent on the first syllable, like Peter, Eric, Jennifer, Sarah, not like, Rebecca, Raul, Samantha. I spell Hass with two esses so it doesn’t look like has, (too bad it looks like h- ass!)
