Signs of spring
Some recent signs of spring:
- I find myself wanting to do spring cleaning. Not just tidying up, but even washing all the windows in the apartment. (Note: I am not the messiest person around, but neither do I like to clean, so this is unusual for me.)
- While shopping this weekend, instead of gravitating towards the winter clothing on sale (which I could wear right now, as it is still fairly chilly outside), I found myself buying a pair of white capris and two linen short-sleeve shirts (in pink and salmon) from New York & Company. (Whose site, by the way, is so not accessible! They won’t let me see anything without installing Flash! Someone should give them a stern talking-to.)
- And, of course, daylight savings! I love daylight savings. Now when I leave work, there’s actually some light left. I think we should be on this schedule all year round. Who cares if those early risers get up while it’s still dark? The world is already biased towards early risers. What about us night owls who get up after 10am and work later than 5pm? Don’t we deserve some daylight too?
