Binky Lost
Meghan’s cat, Binky, vanished sometime between Sunday night and Monday morning. We aren’t sure how he managed to get out of the house–it’s possible he got into the basement when we were doing laundry Sunday night, and if someone went out the back door, he could have snuck out (he’s very good at slipping out doors).
Meghan’s pretty upset, of course. Binky is an indoor cat, so he’s not used to being on his own outside, and we have no idea how far he might have gotten.
She called the police, public works, vets, and animal shelters, and we’ve put up some posters around the area, but nobody has seen any sign of him yet. Hopefully he will get tired of his little adventure and come home on his own before much more time goes by. It’s hard to concentrate on work and other things when one of your kitties is missing.

Yay! Just ten minutes ago he showed up on the front porch, meowing loudly. Luckily we had the front door open (with the screen door closed) so we heard him right away. Meghan is ecstatic!
He was gone for a total of three days. I wonder where and how he spent that time. Hopefully he found somewhere dry last night when it was raining and thundering.
