But, it's pretty easy to delete, and I've found it usually is on old posts, so it's not that visible (until I finally install a "recent comments" section). I'm pretty steady at about 1 a week. But I also haven't installed mt-blacklist yet. It does.

I installed blacklist after it got to more than once a day. Looking at my activity logs, I see that it's stopping on average 3 attempts a day on differing posts. I don't know if Wordpress has something similiar to Blacklist, but I'd recommend getting it installed sooner rather than later if you have that option. It’ll get worse.
