DigitalAdvisor - new and improved
I haven’t written for a while, I know. That’s because I was in Illinois for a week, attending my ten-year high school reunion (I’ll try to write a post about that later) and visiting my family. Meanwhile…
Last week (while I was gone) we released a new version of the DigitalAdvisor web site. The look-and-feel hasn’t changed, but now our product category pages have actual content! Like lists of top sellers and recommended products and links to buying guides related to the categories. Cool, huh? And just as cool - now the HTML is clean and semantic, with almost all presentation moved to the CSS (there are a couple layout tables I haven’t gotten around to removing yet). It doesn’t look half bad in Lynx.
So now changing the design should be pretty easy (I’d like to see a slightly more updated, fresher look, myself, though that is secondary to improving other aspects of the user experience).
