Just seeing what Google will do with URLs that have never been linked to normally but are included in a dropdown menu. Will they be indexed? What about relative URLs?

I am going to boldly predict that it will not see the pages.
Mostly because (a) I don’t expect the spider to run the javascript and (b) I’d be surprised if it were parsing the value attributes of elements on the page for URL-like strings and then trying them out on a hunch.
I also confidently predicted that Howard Dean would win the 2004 Presidential Election easily.
Sometimes I’m quite, quite wrong.

Yeah, I hadn’t expected it to run the javascript, but I’d heard a couple other people speculate that Google would pull URL-like strings out of the source.
And you’re right, my blog doesn’t seem to support daylight savings time. I’ve gone in and manually changed it, which means I’ll have to go back and change it again in the spring. Oh well.
