43 Things
I keep seeing people reference a “43 Things” website. I never visited it before - I had assumed it was something to do with 37signals (I guess my brain has filed them both in the folder for two digits followed by a medium-length word).
Apparently, though, it is unrelated. It’s a simple little application for writing down some goals for yourself, but like Flickr and del.icio.us, it’s a folksonomy. Your goals are publicly viewable, and you can see how many other people share the same goal, or have completed it.
Don’t know if I’ll use it too much, but it was kind of fun to set it up.
Here are a few of my goals. I’m nowhere near 43 yet!

Well, what can I say… “word of mouth” got to me first:
Customer Service Must Be 44th
I’m sure it’s a great service, and I’d be a fool to listen to a one rant, and base my decision on that, but “word of mouth” is stronger than most people think.
Perhaps I will still try it though…

Hmm, that’s funny. I actually sent them an email today (I was getting an error page when I was trying to set the city I lived in), and got a response within half an hour. Now, the response didn’t exactly match my question, but I might have not been clear. And the problem seemed to have resolved itself before then anyway.
That’s probably the fastest response I’ve gotten to a customer service email inquiry, ever.
