I did some &lt;abbr title=&quot;JavaServer Pages&quot;&gt;JSP&lt;/abbr&gt; work in 2004, for a very big company - but much of the real &quot;hard-nosed&quot; stuff was outsourced to India. Our group here (the &quot;Client-side developers&quot;) had to know more of XHTML, CSS, JavaScript - than actual Java - but we were still required to know JSP (thats what the job description said, anyway)... 

Most of our group (myself included) hadn't much experience with JSP - so they brought us on, and paid us to be trained in it. (Why didn't they just hire people who ALREADY knew it? There's the question...)

It's definitely a &quot;hot job,&quot; and a big demand for it.
